FlexNet Operations 2018
The following instructions describe how to use a substitution variable for a license model attribute that corresponds to a supported license string.
To employ a predefined substitution variable in the license model
| 1. | On the Create a License Model page, locate the license model attribute for which you want to use a predefined substitution variable. |
| 2. | For the license model attribute, choose Specify Value Now. |
| 3. | In the field provided, enter the substitution variable you want to use. For example, {SoldTo.displayName}. (See Predefined Substitution Variables for License Strings for a listing of available substitution variables.) |
| 4. | Click Save. |
Note • The license model attributes for license strings can also take custom attributes as substitution variables. See Custom Attributes in License Strings .
