Usage models designate the statement interval and reset period for usage-enabled products.
Statement interval describes how usage history data is summarized. Usage models support monthly, quarterly, and yearly statements.
Reset period defines whether or not usage history data is reset. When the usage model includes no reset, usage counts accumulate over time and across reporting interval statements. When the usage model includes a reset period, usage counts that accumulate during the statement interval are reset monthly or yearly.
Usage Model ID |
Description |
1 |
Quarterly Statements (Reset yearly) Usage history data is summarized by quarter in usage reports. Counts are accumulated across quarters but reset annually. |
2 |
Quarterly Statements (No Reset) Usage history data is summarized by quarter in usage reports. Counts are accumulated across quarters with no automatic reset. |
3 |
Yearly Statements (Reset yearly) Usage history data is summarized by year in usage reports. Counts are reset each year so that multi-year usage reports show only the usage for each individual year. |
4 |
Yearly Statements (No Reset) Usage history data is summarized by year in usage reports. Counts are accumulated across years with no automatic reset. |
5 |
Monthly Statements (Reset monthly) Usage history data is summarized by month in usage reports. Counts are reset each month so that multi-month usage reports show only the usage for each individual month. |
6 |
Monthly Statements (No Reset) Usage history data is summarized by month in usage reports. Counts are accumulated across months with no automatic reset. |
When you create or edit a product, you specify the usage model to identify how usage history data is summarized in usage reports, whether or not usage data is reset and, if so, how often.
