Configuring Updates

FlexNet Operations 2018

Version • The Updates configuration page is only available to producers who are using FlexNet Operations On-Premises. It does not appear for cloud-hosted FlexNet Operations users.

A user must be assigned a role with the View and Manage Configurations permission to modify configuration settings for updates through the Producer Portal.

Note • Before changing any configuration settings in a working FlexNet Operations installation, it is advisable to export the working configuration settings. If there is a problem with the new settings, you have a backup of working settings to restore.

To change update configuration settings through the FlexNet Operations Producer Portal

Click System > Configure.

Click Updates to open the configuration page for updates.

View or change the values of the settings below.

Click Save Configs to save changes.

The Producer Portal saves your configuration changes.

The update settings include the following. Note that default values are listed as the first choice. Also, required fields are indicated with an asterisk.

Daily Update Check	Selected	Select to enable daily update check.
Update Check Hour	5 or specify integer 0-23	Hour of daily update check
Update Check Minute	55 or specify integer 0-59	Minutes after the hour of daily update check
Connection Retry Limit	3 or specify	Maximum number of times to retry connection attempt
Connection Retry Delay	10	Number of minutes to wait between connection attempts
